To better understand the associated opportunities, Milestone Consulting Group (Milestone) undertook an analysis of the popular cloud version of Microsoft Project, Project Online Professional (Project), to quantify and monetize core features. Milestone’s analysis, undertaken in context of Microsoft Project Standard (Standard), found that the average project manager could save more than 100 hours annually using Project, resulting in an estimated annual cost savings of approximately $6,000 per project manager. Even when considering cost of ownership - $360 per project manager annually - the savings opportunity is significant. In addition to time and money savings, Milestone identified further opportunities to increase collaboration and deliver more effective risk management.
